★ Shad is increasingly appearing in moving baits as the field becomes tougher. Shad's strength is its slender silhouette and tight action that suppresses its appeal. It can be used in any field, and the average range for shad is around 2m in water depth, but we are planning to further expand the range. Among these, I pursued a shad that could be retrieved at shallower depths of 1 meter or less without hitting the bottom too much.
The body size is 63 mm and 5.8 g, which is slightly larger than the conventional high cut, and the hooks used are #8 on the front and rear. It can be used with both spinning tackle and bait finesse tackle, and the aim is to use a general bait finesse tackle with the smallest size that will not cause stress. Even with the same small plug, the Shad is extremely vulnerable to the wind compared to the round crank, so after a comparative test with the same body, we chose to move the center of gravity, which has more benefits. Even if the SR lip is short, it has a high angle, so if you use a fixed center of gravity, it will be taken away by the wind when it stalls in the second half of the cast. In addition, in pursuit of good swimming start and response, the rail for moving the center of gravity has been minimized and the body has been made thinner with a honeycomb super body. The weight used is also a high-density tungsten ball instead of the common steel ball, reducing the diameter by approximately 25%. By moving the weight to the tip of the thin tail, the flight posture is stabilized even in the wind, increasing flight distance. The lip shape and lower center of gravity increase the ability to recover after hitting an object. The main battlefield is approximately 40 to 100 cm deep, with a maximum depth of approximately 1.3 m. It is easy to control the range upward depending on the position of the rod tip. Even if you wind it quickly, it won't flap and has a tight yet crisp and high response. On Twitch, you can swing your head from side to side, making it difficult to get close to you, and you can take your time in one place to attract people. The slow floating setting allows it to float and has obstacle avoidance performance. Depending on the density of the structure in open areas, it can be used like a crank, and it also has the advantage unique to shad. This is a tough SR shad that takes advantage of shallow water shallower than 1 meter.
*We recommend using a ring + snap so that the weight moved to the rear during the cast will easily come to the front when landing on the water. It also has the advantage of absorbing yarn twists and improving straightness.
